buymyownpub.com

What this name is good for

The .com partner to buymyownpub.co.uk. If you are going to build anything on this phrase, you want both, and that is genuinely the honest advice rather than an upsell.

The reason is simple: people mistype. Somebody who hears your name in a pub, at a trade show or on the radio will type whichever extension they habitually type, and for a large slice of the population that is .com. Owning only one half of a memorable phrase means quietly handing those visitors to nobody, or worse, to whoever buys the other half later. Names this quotable get repeated out loud, which is exactly the situation where the extension gets lost.

Taken on its own, the .com widens the audience rather than changing it. The dream of running your own pub is not confined to the UK — there is a steady stream of buyers from Ireland, and a smaller but real one of people returning from abroad with money to put into a business here. A .com does not tell any of them they are in the wrong place.

Most likely buyer for it is whoever takes the .co.uk. If that is you, ask about the pair together and we will price them as one.
